CSKA Moscow vs Panathinaikos
CSKA Moscow started the 2021/22 season on the right note, but with 4 losses and 3 wins since late October they dropped down to 9th place in the Euroleague standings. Though their offence has been solid all season, their defence has allowed 80.4 points per game. In fact, they have allowed opponents to shoot very high percentages – 37.1% for 3 and 56.7% for 2 pointers. Although they have bounced back in their last 2 games with victories over Baskonia and Bayern Munich, the 12.5 point spread is too much in this one.
Although Panathinaikos aren’t nearly as good as they wanted, this is a game in which they can be competitive. After a 5-game losing streak, Panathinaikos took down Zenit by 70-64 last week, and are now looking to continue their solid form with a win in Moscow. PAOK have scored an average of 72.8 and allowed 78.1 points per game this season, and they were competitive in each of their last 4 games with close results all-around. This team isn’t going to dominate anyone in the Euroleague this year, but a 13-point advantage in the handicap market is too good to ignore. 99% of bettors are backing CSKA in this one, giving PAOK a lot of value.
Tip: Panathinaikos +12.5 points at 1.99 odds

Anadolu Efes vs Barcelona
Anadolu Efes had a very difficult start to the season, losing 5 of their first 6 games, but they bounced back nicely and are now on a 4-game winning streak. They have averaged 82.3 points scored and 78.2 allowed per game, and their defence has improved significantly in recent games. But they mostly faced weaker competition during this winning streak, as the defending champions have yet to be put to the test, and Barcelona are the team to do it.
Barcelona are the best team in the Euroleague this season with 10 wins and 2 losses so far, and they are currently sitting atop the Euroleague standings. Barcelona have averaged 82.3 scored and 71.7 points allowed per game, whilst shooting 40.4% for 3, 54.6% for 2 pointers, and 80.5% on free throws. They are currently on a 4-game winning streak and coming off a dominant 96-73 win over Zalgiris. This is a side that is elite on both sides on the floor and capable of beating any team in the league. Anadolu Efes are favourites in this one due to home advantage and their solid form, but at 2.50 odds Barcelona provide the most value, and I’m sticking with them tonight.
Tip: Barcelona to Win at 2.50 odds

Unics Kazan vs Olympiacos Piraeus
Unics Kazan started the season quite poorly, losing 4 of their first 5 Euroleague games, but they have managed to bounce back and are currently riding a 4-game winning streak. They are coming off an impressive 98-78 victory over Crvena Zvezda and looking to use home advantage to take down the Greek giant Olympiacos. Unics have shown excellent defence this year, forcing almost 14 turnovers per game whilst grabbing 9.4 steals per game, and keeping opponents to just 30.6% for 3 pointers. But their offence has also been respectable this year, with 8 different players averaging 5 or more points per game and a solid 76.3 team points per game.
Olympiacos have had a solid season so far, but they’ve failed to take down their top competition, losing to Barcelona, CSKA, Zenit, and Efes. They have averaged 80.2 points scored and 73.6 allowed per game, whilst shooting 36.2 for 3 and 56.2% for 2 points this year, landing them in 3rd place in the Euroleague standings. But their play in road games has left a great deal to be desired, allowing 0.81 points per possession at home and 1.04 in road games. For reference, this is equal to the best team defence in the league in the last 10 years and the worst defence in the Euroleague in 2021/22.
Tip: Unics to Win at 2.06 odds
