Fenerbahce vs Anadolu Efes
Fenerbahce are having a very slow year so far, only winning 3 of their 11 games since the start of the season. Only Jan Vesely and Nando de Colo are averaging double-digit scoring numbers with 12 and 10 respectively, and the team is struggling to find scoring opportunities. They are currently 13th in the Euroleague standings and coming off a 75-86 defeat against Zalgiris – the worst team in the league so far. This was their 3rd loss in a row, and it’s difficult to imagine them bouncing back against the defending champions.
Anadolu Efes have bounced back nicely after their poor start to the season, and are aiming to reach the top 8 in the coming weeks. Apart from Micic and Larkin, Rodrigue Beaubois has been a huge factor in their recent success, tallying 29 and 17 points respectively in their last 2 games against Olympiacos and AS Monaco. Efes are enjoying a 3-game winning streak, averaging 92 points per game, and the -4.5 point spread shouldn’t be an issue against the struggling Fenerbahce side.
Tip: Anadolu Efes -4.5 at 1.99 odds

Panathinaikos vs Zenit St Petersburg
Panathinaikos have had a very difficult 2021/22 season so far, winning just 2 of their 11 games, and allowing almost 80 points per game. But they’ve also been unable to find their offence, especially against solid defensive sides. They are shooting 33% from beyond the arc on the season, and have even tallied a 48-point performance against Crvena Zvezda. Only Daryl Jackson and Ioannis Papapetrou are averaging double-digit scoring numbers with 16.9 and 12.8 respectively, and they are in dire need of a reliable combo guard. Panathinaikos are coming off a 5-point win over Olympiakos, but they will be facing a much different side this time around.
Zenit have started the season red hot, winning 8 of their 11 games, and only coming up short against the strongest teams in the league in Real Madrid, CSKA Moscow and Barcelona. They are enjoying a 5-game winning streak and coming off a crucial win over Milano. Though they don’t have a scoring superstar in their ranks, they do a good job of moving the ball and finding open looks, averaging 15 assists per game, and solid shooting percentages. This team is more than capable of getting hot at any time in the game, and they should easily be able to cover the -4.5 point spread.
Tip: Zenit st Petersburg -4.5 at 2.11 odds

Baskonia vs Real Madrid
Baskonia have had a very subpar performance in the Euroleague this year, with just 4 wins since the start of the season. A coaching change brought them instant success against Crvena Zvezda, where they scored 93 points at home, but they quickly deflated and lost their very next game against CSKA by 74-80. Baskonia have averaged just 70.8 points scored and almost 80 conceded this season, and their defence has done a very poor job of bothering opposing shooters. Meanwhile, Baskonia are shooting just 30.5% from beyond the arc and 50.1% for 2. Although they enjoyed a superb shooting night against an injured Zvezda, don’t expect that to happen against an elite Real Madrid defence.
Real Madrid are sitting 2nd in the Euroleague standings with 9 wins in 11 games, and are looking to challenge Barcelona for the top. They are averaging 79.6 points scored per game and 72.3 allowed. With 19.1 assists per game and solid shooting percentages, Real Madrid have one of the most potent offences in the Euroleague. Walter Tavares has been a crucial part of their success with his excellent rim protection and solid inside game. They are coming off a dominant 79-67 victory over Crvena Zvezda, and they should be able to overcome the -5.5 point handicap with ease.
Tip: Real Madrid -5.5 at 1.91 odds

Olimpia Milano vs Olympiacos
Olympia Milano are having another solid Euroleague season, with 8 wins and 3 losses so far. They have won all of their home games this season, and suffered 2 of their 3 defetas in their recent road trip. But they have scored an average of 75.7 and allowed 71.1 points per game, and their tough defence has kept opponents to just 30.1% from behind the 3-point line. Although they lost their last 2 games against UNICS and Zenit, don’t be surprised if they make a comeback at home.
Olympiacos are also having a solid season this year with 7 wins and 4 losses, but their performance in road games has left a lot to be desired. In fact, they have lost all of their away games this season, and their offence often has issues getting the job done. Milano have played excellent defence this year, especially at home, and I expect them to cover the spread in this one as well.
Tip: Olimpia Milano -4.5 at 1.95 odds
