Olympiacos vs Monaco Best Bet
Olympiacos finished the regular season 2nd in the Euroleague standings with a solid record of 19 wins and 9 losses. They won 4 of their last 5 games of the season, with the final being a 73-66 win over first-placed Barcelona. Olympiacos averaged 80.4 points per game and were one of the best attacking teams in the league despite lacking a star scorer. They shot a solid 35.3% from beyond the arc and 57.6% from the field on 60 field goal attempts per game.
Meanwhile, Monaco finished 7th in the standings with 15 wins and 13 losses, having won all of their last 5 games, including 8 of their last 10. Monaco had a very difficult start to the season, only winning 7 games until the new year, but they quickly bounced back in early 2022 with the arrival of Sasa Obradovic as their new head coach. Overall, it’s been a successful debut season for Monaco in the Euroleague, pulling off multiple upsets and providing punters with tons of value. They averaged 87.0 points scored and just71.4 allowed in their final 5 games of the season, and Mike James emerged as the team’s most reliable scorer.
These two teams split their two games in the Euroleague this year. Olympiacos won their first encounter in Piraeus by 86-65. But it was a completely different story in their next encounter when Monaco took the home victory in late March by 92-72, and of course, Mike James was the star of the show, poring in 25 points with 3 assists. Monaco showcased their defensive prowess, grabbing 8 steals and keeping the Greek side to just 27.6% from beyond the arc. I’m expecting a much closer encounter this time around with tougher defence all around, but the +6.0 points in the handicap market Monaco are looking like a very tempting bet.
- Selection: Monaco +6.0
- Best Odds: 1.98 (Marathonbet)
- Stakes: 6/10

Real Madrid vs Maccabi Tel Aviv Best Bet
Real Madrid started the 2021/22 Euroleague season as one of the best teams in the league, winning 10 of their first 12 games, but their form dimished at the end of the season, and they finished 4th in the Euroleague standings with 18 wins and 10 losses. Real Madrid lost 4 of their last 5 Euroleague games, and finished with a 97-88 loss to Bayern Munich at home. Despite playing excellent defence all year, Real allowed an average of 88.0 points per game in their last 4 games of the season, and tey don’t look nearly ready for the playoffs.
Maccabi Tel Aviv had a solid start to the regular season, but their 8 game losing streak from mid-November to late December really hampered their ambitions for the season. However, they managed to get their form back and finished the season on a 6 game winning streak, including very impressive victories over both Real Madrid and Barselona. Their offence was solid all season, averaging 80.4 points per game and shooting 36.1% from beyond the arc, but it’s their defence that allowed them to go on a surge late in the season.
Real amdrid took the narrow victory in their first encounter of the season against Maccabi by 72-70 at home, but Maccabi celebrated a 75-74 victory in Tel Aviv. Maccabi are in much better form coming into this game on both sides of the floor, but the bookmakers still have them as heavy underdogs at 2.75 odds. Despite their excellent form in the past 3 months, 96% of bettorsd ar epicking Real Madrid to win this game. Maccabi could come out on top in this game, but still, the 5.5 points in the handicap market are certainly a value bet.
- Selection: Maccabi +5.5
- Best Odds: 1.95 (Marathonbet)
- Stakes: 5/10
