Connecticut Sun vs Indiana Fever Prediction, Picks, Odds, News, Injury Report 6/10/24
Owners of the best record in the WNBA, it’s no surprise the Connecticut Sun are heavily favored when looking for Monday night. The Sun have already beaten the Fever twice this season, with Indiana slumping to a 3-9 start despite the understandable excitement around Caitlin Clark’s rookie year. My Sun vs Fever prediction and betting pick at -110 odds are featured below.
Bookies make the Sun 11.5-point favorites over the Fever at the time of writing. After an ice-cold start to the season, Indiana will hope they have turned a corner of late, but Monday’s game at Mohegan Sun Arena will be a massive test.

Sun vs Fever Prediction and Picks: Back The Over
- Selection: Over 159.5 total points
- Best Odds: -110 (1.91)
- Bookmaker: bet365
- Stakes: 3/10
Odds as of June 10th, 2024. Odds may now differ.
While the Sun plays slowly, this total seems a few points too low. Both of the previous meetings have gone over this line. Five of Indiana’s last six games have had 160 or more points, including when they scored just 68 against the Liberty. The Fever are also top-five in pace over their last five games.
Indiana has hit the over in eight of their 12 contests to date. Connecticut has gone over in half of their games. We like the chances of the over here given the offensive firepower on show and Indiana’s weak defense. My Sun vs Fever prediction is for at least 160 points!

Connecticut Sun News, Injury Report, Schedule: Aiming To Get Back On Track
The Sun suffered their first loss of the season last time out. It was admittedly at the hands of the New York Liberty, but this is still a setback by the standards of a team that started the season on a 9-0 tear.
Connecticut has been elite at both ends of the floor. They are second in net rating – third in offense, first in defense. All five of their starters are averaging double-digit points per game so far this season, but it’s worth noting that they are only 4-6 against the spread so far.
Indiana Fever News, Injury Report, Schedule: Signs Of Improvement
Indiana has won two of their last three games. There was a brutal blowout at the hands of the New York Liberty in between those wins, however. The Fever have the league’s worst net rating, and narrow wins over the Chicago Sky and Washington Mystics don’t necessarily mean they are ready to go toe-to-toe with the Sun.
While these are much-anticipated signs of improvement, the Fever are still very much a work in progress. Even since their 0-5 start (a period that includes three wins), they have a -12.5 net rating, which ranks 11th in the Association. Their defense is by far the worst in the league over that spell, and the offense is only hovering around league average.
Sun vs Fever H2H: Sun Hold Advantage
Connecticut already has a 2-0 record against Indiana in the 2024 regular season. Those two wins take the Sun to a 57-31 advantage in the all-time regular-season series – they have not lost a game to the Fever since 2021.
Indiana hasn’t won a regular-season game against the Sun since they swept them in 2015. Recent history heavily favours a Connecticut Sun team which has been among the elite WNBA franchises this decade.
