The Rangers will host the Reds for a weekend series that kicks off on Friday night, and Ej has another bold offer for our readers to end the week.
Our resident baseball expert Ej Garr is on a tear this week as he smashes out plus-money offers to the BettingExpert Community.
Ej turns his attention to a Friday night affair in Arlington, TX, to dish out another winner.
Our Rangers vs Reds prediction at +145 (2.45) is available below, proving again why Ej is the Mayor of Value City!

RANGERS VS REDS PICKS AND PREDICTION: A LIVE DOG IN THE LONE STAR STATE
- Selection: Cincinnati Reds Moneyline
- Best Odds: 2.45
- Bookmaker: bet365
- Stakes: 4/10
Odds as of April 26th, 2024. Odds may now differ.
Ride ‘em Doggie! You will hear that expression throughout the Great State of Texas, but I am using it because the Reds are about to win Game 1 of this Interleague battle with Texas on Friday.
First of all, how about them Brewers yesterday, baby? Did you splash both of my offers including a +180 bonus bet yesterday? I hope so! I am 3 – 1 with my main bets this week, hoping to end it with a +145 underdog being the Reds tonight.
Nate Eovaldi is making the start for the Rangers, and I watched that start against the Braves in his last outing. I still have no idea how he only gave up three earned runs to the Braves despite 6 walks, 5 hits, and 105 pitches through only 5 ⅓ IP.
Eovaldi got himself out of trouble but that was still a stressful outing that left a bad taste in my mouth. Texas isn’t playing their best baseball, and the Rangers have lost Eovaldi’s last three starts. Run support has been the biggest issue for the Rangers this season, and Texas only scored 8 runs over three days against Seattle.
That includes being shutout at home in game 1 of that series against the Mariners, and the Reds don’t have those issues at the plate.
Cincinnati averages 5.29 runs per game this season, although they just played the strangest four-game series against Philadelphia. The Reds got shut out in games 1 and 4 of the series with the Phillies, but they smashed out 15 runs in the middle affairs to leave town, 2 – 2.
The big thing that pushed me in this direction was the disrespectful line at +145. Pinnacle shows +150 as I hand this in, but our friends at Bet365 offer +145.
The Reds will win this game to start the series with Texas on Friday night, and the value behind the bet is all there! Come and get it!

Texas Rangers News, Injury Report, Schedule: Struggling to Find Consistency
The Rangers are essentially in a tie with Seattle battling for AL West Division supremacy. It is early in the campaign, of course, but they are the only teams in the division without losing records.
After losing two of three games against the Braves to finish last week, the Rangers lost two out of three games to Seattle.
Texas will stay home after this series with Cincinnati to play host to the visiting Nationals Monday through Wednesday. The Rangers will then have to endure a 10-game road trip that takes them through Kansas City, Oakland, and Colorado.
Texas might get back Jacob deGrom and Max Scherzer by the All-Star Break. That would give any team a boost to the starting pitching staff, barring any setbacks.
Cincinnati Reds News, Injury Report, Schedule: Reds Offense The Difference-Maker
The Reds had swept the Angels before their recent series with the Phillies, although they are 5 – 2 over the last 7 games. Reds Totals have been seen hitting the Over in 14 of their 23 games this season.
Cincinnati will conclude this series with the Rangers and head to San Diego to face the Padres for three games. After a day off on May 2, the Orioles and Diamondbacks will visit the Reds at the Great American Ballpark for 3-game sets.
Rangers vs Reds H2H: Reds Hold the Recent Edge
The Reds swept the Rangers in three games last season, and the Reds have won the last four games against Texas dating back to 2019. The Reds have not visited Texas since the 2016 campaign, as the last 9 games played between Texas and Cincinnati were played at the Great American Ballpark.
The Rangers and Reds have only met a total of 22 times since Interleague play began in 2002. The Reds hold a 12 – 10 advantage overall, but the Rangers have won 5 of the 8 meetings at home against Cincinnati.
