MLB Run Total Best Bet: Wednesday July 6th

MLB Run Total Best Bet: Wednesday July 6th

Our resident baseball expert Ej Garr is simply on fire with another easy winner handed out last night to start the week with a pair of wins over the last 2 days. So, continuing with his winning ways, Ej is turning to the Astros team total in the first inning when they take on the Royals on Hump Day.

We’re on a tear again and I have no intention of stopping now so let’s keep that train rolling in the direction we love. It’s nice when you can jump out to a 2 – 0 beginning to the week as easy as we have but there is no time to rest on our success.

I point you to the early team total for the Astros as they play host to the Royals on Hump Day and I expect a run on the board in the opening frame for the home team. It isn’t much to ask from my point of view because I see Brad Keller as the expected starter for the Royals tonight.

That bodes well for us because we have seen him giving up early runs nearly every other outing and he is coming off one of his better starts last time out.  Keller got through the Tigers with no real issues on July 1 giving up only 5 hits and 2 walks in a 6-inning effort to pick up the win, 3 – 1. In his previous start before the Detroit outing, the hapless A’s lit him up pretty good early and often, and then I just started looking at all of his starts to this point this campaign.

We all know Houston is as hot as I am right now I mean they are on a torrid pace winning games and certainly have control of their division. Seattle is trying to keep up with them in the A.L West and they looked good yesterday on the MLB Network against San Diego yesterday. I got to see how bad Machado’s ankle really is, by the way, and he is not in good shapr for what that’s worth.

I watch a lot of baseball games, and seeing him barely make it to first on two of those groundouts combined with the pain in his face when he swings and misses, is just hard to watch. Luke Voit and Eric Hosmer are not going to be able to carry that team in the least if Machado is not nearly 100%, and he is not!

Anyway, did you happen to see the line on the Astros to have a 1st inning lead? 3.05? Wait, now hold on and just wait right there, baby! I am here to do totals and I do them well but that line is glorious! Now, I am offering the Astros Team Total of Over 0.5 a run in the first inning tonight, so the odds of that giving Houston an early lead sets up nicely with my best bet of the day!

I could always just suggest that as a side play and who am I to toss around a 3.05 for people? Oh, wait, I love doing that stuff, come on now. All of this only relies on Keller getting knocked around early and there are no stupid stats to throw at you pertaining to rankings and such.

Brad Keller is going to give up a first-inning run and we are going to cash the damn ticket when he does. Christian Javier is the expected starter for Houston tonight, and I definitely don’t expect him to surrender any runs in his opening frame. In his last start against the Angels, Javier gave up only one hit in 7 innings, albeit a blast in an 8 – 1 win over Los Angeles.

So, 1 – 0 Stros is all I ask them to pull off and hopefully we enjoy another walk to the window with a ticket that needs cashing to run the week to 3 – 0 following up that 8 – 1 – 1 tear I just bolted out around here. Good luck and let’s do it again tomorrow, shall we?
