As the Brewers losing streak has now stretched to 5 games, the Phillies bats are finding ways to keep their winning streak alive. Milwaukee and Philadelphia will wrap up their series on Thursday and the Fighting Phils will be looking for the sweep. Our resident U.S sports expert Ej Garr has found a gem from the 1st 5 innings total with the Phillies to find a mere 2 runs before we hit the 6th inning to be holding a winning ticket.

Milwaukee vs. Philadelphia Best Bet

June 9, 19:10 UK time

I know, right‽ You opened this article to see if Ej was kidding offering a tip with a line of Over 1.5 runs at a reasonable price of even money for the trouble. I had my eye on the game being played last night as the Phillies just continued to keep Milwaukee out of the win column. It seems like the Brew Crew and the Angels are finding ways to lose baseball games every night these days.

First of all, the Phillies are huge underdogs tonight, they have no chance to win tonight being listed at 2.50 to win the baseball game. Then, I saw the total was 7.5 and it hit me that one of these team totals is going to be extremely low and there goes the Phillies Over 1.5 at 1.99.

Now, I put that bet in right before I started this piece and you are going to go to your bookmaker and just throw down the Philly Over 1.5 1st 5 inning total. It’s not like we’re being asked to drink a gallon of juice to get paid and you know life is about ROI% way before anything else.

The Phillies broke out double-digit runs in a 10 – 0 effort last night so the oddsmakers feel that Corbin Burnes is the save-all starter who can just bring the losing streak to an end. To the tune of 1.60 at a handful of sites begging favourite bettors to not be paying attention to what is going on around the diamond lately.

The story is the Brewers stink and the Phillies can certainly take Burnes down because we all know what he is. Burnes is hit or miss, stink up the joint of go berzerk with grace and there seems to be no in between. He is either striking out 10 or more guys giving up nothing or he gets lit up for one, if not two homers about every other start.

When a team is not playing well I think the line setters have a ton of balls to expect people to think they know the Brewers are going to end their woes this afternoon. It’s a day game in Milwaukee and the weather looks like a perfect day for baseball from what I am seeing. I see 75F degrees and a bunch of sunlight shining down on the field and I do believe the breeze is going to be blowing out 10 to 15 MPH.

Did someone say a nice breeze in Milwaukee for an afternoon ballgame? Yes, please do expect the Phillies to score a mere 2 runs before we hit the 6th inning. Again, we are not asking for much to happen but a bloop and a blast, and it’s time to drive home safely with a ticket that needs cashing in our pockets!

  • Selection: Phillies Over 1.5 Runs 1st 5 Innings
