MLB Best Bet: Monday, April 11th
The 2022 MLB season is underway and we’ve brought in our U.S Sports betting expert Ej Garr to handle some more business. The Twins and Mariners will be playing their 4th game of a 4-game set on Monday night whilst Seattle will be looking for their 3rd win hoping to take the opening series of the 2022 campaign. The Twins have been listed as the favourites for all 4 games in the series against the Mariners but Seattle enters the game with 2 wins from the 3 meetings. Ej likes runs to be scored on Monday night so the Over will be your best bet to make!

Minnesota vs Seattle Best Bet
April 11, 23:40 UK time
The Twins were slight favourites to win game 1 of the series with Seattle but the Mariners escaped with a trim 2 – 1 win as underdogs. Despite the opening day loss at home, the Twins were listed as even bigger favourites to win game 2 of the series, and the Mariners once again came away with a tight 4 – 3 win in an exciting fashion.
Minnesota seemed to be in line to win their first game of the 2022 campaign on Saturday after taking a late 3 – 2 lead in the bottom of the 8th inning. Unable to seal the deal, the Mariners found 2 runs in the top of the 9th and held on to earn a 2nd win in 2 days in a 1-run game.
The Twins found themselves as 1.75 favourites for the 3rd of the 4-game set on Sunday afternoon and the Minnesota bats came alive early. Minnesota jumped out to a 5 – 0 first-inning lead on Sunday and despite the comeback attempt by the M’s the Twins finally lived up to the line setters’ expectations by winning their first game of the 2022 campaign.
The Twins will be sending Dylan Bundy to the mound on Monday night and that is a huge reason for concern. The line setters are slapping the chalk on Minnesota again tonight hoping you don’t figure out how bad Bundy is at pitching. The dude was a miserable 2 – 9 in 2021 with an ERA over 6 and in only 90 IP he allowed 20 HRs a season ago.
The Mariners are putting Chris Flexen on the bump to make his first start of 2022 and he certainly held his own a year ago with the Mariners. Flexen managed a 3.61 ERA through 31 starts and struck out 125 batters while only allowing 40 walks for a 3: 1 ratio. The last time Flexen saw the Twins was in June of last season and all he did was go 8 strong innings in a 10 – 0 win for the Mariners that night.
I am trusting Flexen to outpitch Bundy because we cannot put our hard-earned money on a starter who has proven that he can’t keep the ball in the park. Seattle should walk out of this series with a 3 – 1 record after being underdogs in all 4 meetings to start the new season away from home. With the Twins bats coming alive on Sunday to bash 5 HRs, I expect both teams to come out slugging while giving us plenty of run support to cash our Over 9 tickets.
