He faces Daniel Pineda, who is coming off two fights overturned to a no-contest. Pineda is looking to get back in the win column here, and a win over Burns would be huge for him.

While Pineda definitely has the experience advantage, Burns’ last few performances tell me he is headed straight to the top. Pineda can handle himself on the ground, but no one is submitting one of the Burns brothers. They’re experts in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and are very dangerous on the ground. By no means is Herbert Burns unbeatable, but it isn’t Daniel Pineda who is going to give him his first UFC loss.

Pineda has picked up wins in smaller organizations, but when he was in the UFC he went 4-4 and was cut from the promotion. Now, he is re-signed in what appears to be a tune-up fight for Burns. I know there technically aren’t tune-up fights in the UFC, but level-wise this just feels like a bit of a mismatch. I’m going with Burns here, who keeps it on the feet and makes it a quick night.
