On the other hand, Switzerland entered their final matchup against a very tough opponent in Serbia. In fact, the scenario was completely the same as it was four years ago when the two nations met in the group stage for the very same reasons. The Swiss side managed to beat the Serbian team by 3:2 and, that way, get out of the group stage. But the game was anything but easy. Xherdan Shaqiri gave the Swiss team an early lead. But the score was nullified as both Mitrovic and Vlahovic scored for the White Eagles. However, we got another sudden turn of events as Switzerland recorded a comeback of their own, scoring two goals and gaining a much-needed win.
