Ghana vs Uruguay Prediction | Winning Chances and Analysis
The matchup between Ghana and Uruguay is more than likely going to be the deciding game between who advances further. Both sides probably remember their 2010 quarter finals controversial game. But this time, we hope for a clean result as the two teams fight their way to the elimination round.
Ghana actually looks excellent, while the Uruguayan team has yet to show any glimpses of that famous generation. Find out how we think the game will end in our Ghana vs Uruguay prediction.
Ghana vs Uruguay – Form and Team News
The Black Stars started the tournament by giving favoured Portugal a run for their money. In a very suspenseful game, they lost 3:2 but came out as moral victors. This boost in morale translated well in their following matchup, as this time, they were the ones who ended up as 3:2 winners.
The game against South Korea was even better than the one against Portugal. Ghana started the game really well and easily got to a 2:0 lead. Salisu and Kudus both scored for a comfortable first-half lead. But then, the Korean attacker Cho Gue-sung stepped up and scored two rapid-fire goals to bring the game even. But another stunning effort from the 22-year-old Mohammed Kudus gave Ghana the final win.
On the other hand, Uruguay had two very uneventful games. First, they were a part of one of the most boring games in World Cup history against South Korea. The game ended without any goals and shots on target.
Next came the game versus Portugal. Unfortunately for La Celeste, Portugal had Bruno Fernandes, who orchestrated his team’s win by scoring a brace and making it 2:0 for Os Navegadores.

Ghana vs Uruguay – Betting Tips
With Ghana being somewhat the surprise of the tournament, it is unfair for the bookies to place them as 5.50 underdogs. But it is where the catch lies as our Ghana vs Uruguay prediction does state that Ghana will get a win, their revenge for the handball in 2010, and a place in the elimination round.
But Uruguay is not going to come out of this one without a fight. Being that they haven’t scored a goal up till now, they might do it against the Black Stars. So, both teams scoring at 2.05 is another bet to consider.
In fact, you can even consider both teams to score in the 2nd half at 3.75 as a betting option as well.
