Galatasaray vs Tottenham Prediction - Europa League Fixtures
Mark Stinchcombe is here with his Galatasaray vs Tottenham prediction, team news and lineups preview for Thursday as Galatasaray host Tottenham in the Europa League. Tottenham enter this clash with a flawless record in the Europa League, having three wins out of three. Galatasaray, meanwhile, have won two and drawn one of their Europa League matches. They are unbeaten in their last 11 games overall. At home, they are even tougher to break down, going unbeaten in their last seven matches, in what could be a tight encounter.

- Galatasaray vs Tottenham Tip 2: Dejan Kulusevski over 1.5 shots
- Galatasaray vs Tottenham Tip 3: James Maddison over 1.5 shots
Galatasaray vs Tottenham Prediction 1: Tight battle in hostile encounter
Turkey, Europa League, Thursday, November 7th, 17:45 (UK)
Both sides enter this match with unbeaten records which is more than reflected in the odds with Galatasaray 2.45 Draw 3.75 Tottenham 2.62. The Turkish champions once again sit top of the Super League after ten games with nine wins and a draw having scored the most goals whilst conceding the joint fewest. Likewise Tottenham are the top scorers in the Premier League following their impressive 4-1 win over Aston Villa at the weekend meaning they’ve won 10 of their 15 games across all competitions this season. As the odds suggest, it’s very hard to split them. It’s difficult to know how strong a side Tottenham will play having heavily rotated in the competition so far. Galatasaray have tended play a strong team and it’s likely they’ll do the same again here, so coupled with home advantage, you can understand why they are favourites.
With Tottenham likely rotate due to a few injuries, and having the cushion of three wins out of three, I feel it’s likely they could be on the back foot and disjointed with players coming in from the cold. As a result, it may not be a free flowing game the odds suggest with over 2.5 goals just 1.44. We’ve seen evidence of that so far, with their league matches averaging 3.3 goals per-game where as in Europe it’s 2.33 in-comparison – nearly a goal fewer. So tentatively under 3.5 goals looks the bet, albeit a brave one. Galatasaray matches do tend to be goal heavy, but in the bigger games there is a template for a closer battle. It finished 2-1 versus Besiktas at the weekend, they lost 1-0 at home to Young Boys in the Champions League qualifiers and also by the same scoreline to Fenerbahce in May, having beaten them 3-0 in the Super Cup the month before. Away from home they won 1-0 at Besiktas, whilst drawing 0-0 with Fener.
Galatasaray vs Tottenham Prediction 1: Under 3.5 goals (TRACKED BET)
- Best Odds: 1.72

- Stake: 5/10
Galatasaray vs Tottenham Prediction 2: Kulusevski Korkers
Despite opposing goals in our main bet, Galatasaray do give the opposition chances, emphasised by their defensive figures across all competitions this season. They’ve conceded 24 goals in 16 matches (1.50 per-game) including across Europe where it’s 10 goals in five games (2.0 per-game). As a result, that should invite the Premier League top scorers to try their luck, particularly when they average the 2nd most shots per-game so far this season at 17.2.
One player who looks a prime candidate is Dejan Kulusevski, particularly when his line is set at just 1.5. Across his 10 starts this season, he’s had 19 shots in his new midfield role, at an average of 1.9 per-game. He’s also managed 5 shots in five substitute appearances. His shooting boots are clearly on this season as he’s averaging 5.0 shots-per-game for Sweden.
Galatasaray vs Tottenham Prediction 2: Dejan Kulusevski over 1.5 shots
- Best Odds: 1.83
- Bookmaker: bet365
- Stake: 3/10
Galatasaray vs Tottenham Prediction 3: Mad for Maddison
Another Tottenham player who’s shot line looks too low to me at 1.5 is James Maddison. For me, a player famed for his long distance shooting, which can be regular occurrences. Across his nine starts this season where he’s played 60+ minutes, he’s had 18 shots at an average of 2.0 per-game. 38% of these are coming from outside the area, proving he doesn’t need asking twice and doesn’t rely on Tottenham being able to break Galatasaray down. The Turkish side concede 45% of their shots from outside the area – the highest in the league.
- Galatasaray vs Tottenham Prediction 3: James Maddison over 1.5 shots
- Best Odds: 1.72
- Bookmaker: bet365
- Stake: 3/10

Galatasaray vs Tottenham Injuries, Team News and Possible Lineups: Tottenham defensive injuries
Spurs are contending with multiple injuries, especially in defence. Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven are both struggling with recent injuries, leaving Radu Dragusin and Ben Davies likely to step up at the back. Richarlison, who assisted Solanke’s second goal also left the Aston Villa game early with a hamstring issue. Wilson Odobert remains a longer-term absentee. Galatasaray’s main concern has been the recent absence of Victor Osimhen from training, although it appears to be precautionary, and he is expected to play. The only confirmed absentee for Galatasaray is Ismail Jakobs, who remains sidelined with a knee injury.
Galatasaray possible starting lineup:
