Stenhousemuir +1.00 (AH)
Stenhousemuir travel to (currently) manager-less Dunfermline and I fancy them to make it a good contest here.
Dunfermline have been poor this season, McPake lost his job before Christmas and Kelty boss Michael Tidser is heavily rumoured to be joining, but for now they remain under caretaker charge.
Dunfermline have played well since McPake has left, drawing with Falkirk and thrashing Partick Thistle, scoring 7 goals in the process.
Let’s focus on Stenhousemuir here. I have watched a lot of Stenhousemuir over the last 2 seasons, and they are always set up well defensively, 3 clean sheets in their last 5 is testament to this.
Gary Naysmith is a good manager and will make Stenhousemuir hard to beat here.
Stenhousemuir have lost by 2 or more goals on 6 occasions, but only twice was this to League One opposition. Every other loss was to higher league opposition. Whilst Dunfermline are the league above, I don’t think there is as much between these two sides as you might think.
