Toulouse vs Brest Prediction: Team News and Lineups Preview
We have a midtable battle in the Violet City and Steve Wyss is here with his Toulouse vs Brest prediction preview. Both teams are in danger of having their respective season’s meandering into a damp squib so need to win in order to maintain some top six aspirations. Toulouse have been wildly inconsistent this season and now face a Brest side who are free of their Champions League commitments
Toulouse vs Brest Prediction: Brest look too big to ignore in the Violet City
France, Ligue 1, Sunday, March 30th, 14:00 (UK)
Brest cannot be fully judged on some of their Ligue 1 results this season. They went all out and put a lot of eggs into the Champions League basket which probably affected their own domestic league form. Now that they are free of such commitments their form has shown signs of improvements and we could see them finish the season quite strongly. Eric Roy’s men have 37 points on the board and will want to finish as highly as possible, needing to win games like this to have any chance of climbing into the top six.
They face a Toulouse side who have been poor at home this season with only 4 wins out of 13 and netting just 14 goals. Les Violets have been disappointing and clearly can’t be trusted in front of their own fans. For my money, Brest are the better team overall and are too big to ignore here. Yes, the visitors do have left back Haidara suspended along with Hugo Magnetti in midfield, but Amavi can come into the team and do a job. Toulouse are lacking firepower with Franck Magri suspended and top scorer Aboukhlal highly doubtful. Taking the visitors on a draw no bet line at 2.62 looks very generous indeed. Brest are in good form with only two defeats in 10 games (to PSG and Lyon) and at the very worst can get a point here.

Toulouse vs Brest Injuries, Team News and Possible Lineups Prediction: Both teams affected by suspensions
Toulouse first choice goalkeeper Guilaume Restes could return after nearly a 2 month injury layoff. Top scorer Zakaria Aboukhlal remains highly doubtful and their second top scorer Franck Magi is suspended. Former Bournemouth striker Josh King could come into the side as a result.
Brest left back Massadio Diarra is suspended so Jordan Amavi should come into the side as a replacement. Centre back Brendan Chardonnet is still injured which means Ndiaye remains in the side. Midfielder Hugo Magnetti is another suspension so Jonas Martin will probably come into the XI.
Toulouse possible starting lineup:
Restes, Suazo, McKenzie, Cresswell, Sidibe, Casseres, Sierro, Casseres, King Gboho, Babicka
Brest possible starting lineup:
Bizot, Amavi, Ndiaye, LeCardinal, Lala, Lees-Melou, Martin, Pereira Lage, Faivre, Camara, Ajorque
