Brazil vs South Korea Prediction | Match Analysis & Stats
The game between Brazil and South Korea is a very unexpected one for the elimination phase. While most of us were more than confident that Brazil would be here, the same cannot be said for South Korea. Yet, here we are, and it is another Goliath vs David matchup for the Round of 16 of the World Cup.
The South Korean team may just be the biggest surprise of the tournament, but do they have it in them to go against the tournament favourites, Brazil? Our Brazil vs South Korea prediction will help you find out what our thoughts are about this game.
Brazil vs South Korea – Form and Team News
Brazil’s route towards the Round of 16 was interesting, to say the least. While everyone expected them to get here, they played two somewhat tough games to open up the competition. First, they defeated Serbia by 2:0 and then they went up against Switzerland to win by 1:0.
Two wins meant that they already qualified, so the game versus Kamerun was a chance for them to rest some important assets for the continuation of the tournament. However, Brazil’s reserves lost the game against Kamerun, thanks to a stunner scored by Vincent Aboubakar in the 92nd minute of the match.
On the other hand, South Korea had a very up-and-down tournament thus far. First, they played one of the most boring games in the competition and earned a point against Uruguay. Next, they had one of the best matches of the tournament, where they narrowly made a comeback but eventually ended up losing to Ghana by 3:2.
Finally, they posed a miraculous upset as they defeated Portugal in their final matchup to secure their qualification. The Portuguese team did play with their reserves, but it didn’t stop Kim Young-gwon and Hwang Hee-chan from scoring two very important goals to make it 2:1 and allow Taegeuk Warriors to advance to the next round.
Brazil vs South Korea – Starting Lineups
Brazil and South Korea will probably continue to use the same lineup, with some minor changes in personnel compared to the previous games. Neymar should also make a return in this game, after going down with an injury in the first one.

Brazil vs South Korea – Betting Tips
Every Brazil vs South Korea prediction sees Selecao as the favourite and they deservedly hold that monocle. But at 1.30 odds, it is not worth betting on them as a match winner bet. South Korea has 14.00 odds attached to its name. But we can’t really see Brazil allowing an upset of this size to happen at this stage of the competition.
One of the ways to go is to bet on a Brazil to be a double winner, both and half-time and full-time (1.95 odds). You also have the option of betting on Brazil to win to nil (1.75). Finally, we propose also thinking about Brazil scoring in both halves at 2.20 odds.
