Greece did not enter the Olympic competition in great form. While they are one of the toughest teams in Group A, they began falling in form just at the end of preparations. They barely beat Puerto Rico by 67-65, and then were absolutely destroyed by Serbia by 94-72 in the final preparation game.

Spain mainly relies on veteran forces. Their main players at this tournament will still be the ageing Sergio Llull and Rudy Fernandez. Rudy is retiring after this tournament, while Llull has extended his contract with Real Madrid for one more season.
Besides them, we can probably expect the most from Lorenzo Brown and Santi Aldama. Juancho and Willy Hernangomez are also there, making this Spanish side a worthy opponent.
None other than Giannis Antetokounmpo spearheads the Greek team. He is finally going to be a part of the Greek side with hopes of winning an Olympic medal. Alongside him will be the team’s captain Kostas Papanikolaou and veteran Nick Calathes.
Dinos Mitoglou and Georgios Papagiannis are not only going to be a big presence in the pain, but they can also stretch out the floor. Both big men are excellent three-point shooters and are going to give a lot of problems to the Spanish side.
