Panathinaikos vs Partizan Prediction, Picks, Odds, News, Injury Report 1/9/25
High-flying Panathinaikos are favourites against a resurgent Partizan team. A slow start has left Partizan with a lot of ground to make up, but they have made progress over the last couple of months with a 7-3 record over their last 10 EuroLeague outings.
Bet365 prices Panathinaikos as a 7.5-point favourite for this meeting in Athens on Thursday night. A win will see Panathinaikos go level with Olympiacos on 13 wins before the latter plays against Bayern Munich on Friday.
Panathinaikos vs Partizan Prediction and Picks: Trusting the Hosts
- Selection: Panathinaikos -7.5
- Best Odds: 1.91
- Bookmaker: bet365
- Stakes: 4/10
Panathinaikos have been crushing teams recently. Four straight double-digit wins leaves them with the second-best net rating in the EuroLeague.
Having dominated teams on their home floor, the Greek outfit are deservedly favoured for this game. Partizan’s win in the reverse fixture was an outlier for both clubs. Having gone 3-5 on the road in the EuroLeague this season, we can’t see Partizan covering the spread.

Panathinaikos News, Injury Report, Schedule: Rolling Without Lessort
Panathinaikos have been rolling in the EuroLeague. Four consecutive double-digit wins have improved their record to 12-7 on the season and puts them in a strong position in the standings.
The absence of star centre Mathias Lessort hasn’t proved to be a problem for the Greek club. Omer Yurtseven has stepped up in Lessort’s absence. Kendrick Nunn has been playing at a very high level and looks like the best player in European hoops this season.
Monaco are the only team with a better net rating than Panathinaikos. Dominant on the glass and elite at forcing turnovers, they are a formidable opponent, and particularly so when playing in Athens.
Partizan News, Injury Report, Schedule: Bouncing Back
After a 2-8 record after 10 games, Partizan have to be satisfied to have climbed to 9-10. There’s still a lot of work to do for the Serbian club, however, as they are currently 13th in the standings.
With Panathinaikos heavily favoured, there aren’t any expectations for Partizan. Vanja Marinkovic and Mitar Bosnjakovic remain sidelined, but the team is accustomed to rotation tweaks due to the persistent absences they have dealt with all year.
Rebounding is a concern here. The Black-Whites are in the bottom four in rebounding percentage, and cannot afford to give Panathinaikos extra possessions.
Panathinaikos vs Partizan H2H: Advantage Partizan
Partizan have won four of the last five competitive games between these teams. They won by 18 points when these teams met in the EuroLeague last month and had beaten Panathinaikos three times in a row before the Greek team’s win in January last year.
Four of the five games have cleared the 160-point barrier, though the losing team has score under 75 points in each of the last two meetings.
