Panathinaikos vs Fenerbahce Prediction and Picks

  • Best Odds: 2.75
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stakes: 5/10

We are backing the EuroLeague’s in-form team to record a vital road win on Tuesday night. Fenerbahce are a force to be reckoned with, and Panathinaikos have been hit hard by some important injuries.

Having gone 8-3 on the road this season, the Turkish club are more than comfortable playing in front of hostile crowds. They are a great bet to hand Panathinaikos their third home defeat of the season in what should be a physical contest.

Panathinaikos News, Injury Report, Schedule: Pressure Mounting Without Lessort

Able to win a few games on the back of Kendrick Nunn’s scoring after Mathias Lessort’s injury, Panathinaikos have returned to earth with a thud. It’s three losses in four EuroLeague games after falling to Milan last time out.

Omer Yurtseven has joined Lessort on the sidelines, leaving Panathinaikos desperately short in the frontcourt. Cedi Osman, Wenyen Gabriel, and Lorenzo Brown are yet to have the desired impact as relatively new arrivals, while Nunn was unsurprisingly unable to maintain his scorched earth level of scoring from the end of 2024.

While Panathinaikos have been dominant on the glass all year, they are vulnerable in the paint without two key big men.

Fenerbahce News, Injury Report, Schedule: Credit to Jasikevicius

Fenerbahce are third in rebounding rate, eighth in net rating, and haven’t lost since falling at Partizan at the end of December. Outplaying Olympiacos a couple of weeks ago was a sign of what this team is capable of.

On offence, they are smart with the ball. They compete on the boards and have the third-best defensive rating in the competition. While they don’t have the same upper-echelon talent as some of their rivals, head coach Sarunas Jasikevicius has made them well-drilled. They are always a hard team to matchup with, even if their shots aren’t falling.

Panathinaikos vs Fenerbahce H2H: Close Rivalry

Panathinaikos have won the last three matchups, including a five-point win in October. Fenerbahce claimed the three previous meetings, however, and won a friendly in September 2023.

These teams have been well-matched in recent years, though it’s clear Panathinaikos have been in the ascendancy since the start of the 2023/24 campaign.
